Where it all started
Hi, I’m Trisha, the one behind (almost) everything you see here.
Honestly it started kind of by accident. I bought a sewing machine because I wanted to learn something new, that’s it, no bigger plan than that.
Started learning it and came across patchwork ideas and thought of sewing patches live for people just for the fun of it.
And then I just... kept going.
It wasn’t even supposed to be an “upcycling brand” in the beginning. But once you’ve seen how much waste fashion industry actually produces, the micro-trends, the mass-produced fast fashion piling up, it’s hard to unsee.
So, giving old things a second life just started to feel like the right way to do this.
And that’s basically it.
Just a sewing machine, a lot of patches, and things spiralling from there (in a good way).
Read about Taklu :P
Meet Taklu.
He started out as just a doodle. I needed a logo and somehow this felt like the right choice.
Also because he had that groovy, slightly off-kilter energy though, cause that’s basically the whole vibe of this brand.
Somewhere along the way he stopped being “just a logo” and became the mascot. The face that’s now attached to pretty much everything TFL does.
